Health Co-ordinator – Mrs Duna Jones (Erjon)
The Rough Collie’s natural unexaggerated form has protected it from many of the inherited conditions which plague a number of breeds.
However, like all breeds it is known to be prone to a few inherited conditions which responsible breeders are endeavouring to minimize, as much as possible, by monitoring these conditions and using good breeding stock.
There are four known genetic abnormalities that affect the Rough Collie:
Hip Dysplasia
Collie Eye Anomaly
Progressive Retinal Anomaly
Drug Sensitivity
